Vincent Wolfsteiner was born and raised in Munich. After graduation from music school in GB, he worked several years as a successful recording artist and producer in Munich. In 2000 move to the US, and from 2001 singing lessons with William Cotton at NEC. He completet several semesters at NEC’s continous education opera studio.In 2002 debut as Abdallo in Nabucco, and subsequently continuous work as an opera and concert singer in the US and Germany. Roles performed include among others: Rodolfo in La Bohème, Canio in I Pagliacci, Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana, Don José in Carmen, the Duke in Wiener Blut, the Prince in Love of Three Oranges, Florestan in Fidelio, Aeghist in Elektra, Max in Freischütz, Erik in the Flying Duchman, Raffaele in Verdi’s Stiffelio, Hans in the Bartered Bride and Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut. In concert Mr. Wolfsteiner has sung as soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Schumann’s Die Erste Walpurgisnacht und Hayden’s Creation. Opera concerts included exerpts or hole acts from Tristan and Isolde, Götterdämmerung, Faust, Tosca, Otello, La Traviata, La Giocconda, Rigoletto, Turandot and La Forza Del Destino. The dramatic tenor is now a student of Gundula Hintz in Berlin. As a highlight of the coming season, Vincent Wolfsteiner will be Siegmund in Barry Kosky’s new production of the Ring of the Niebelungen at the Staatsoper Hannover. Mr. Wolfsteiner is first prize winner of the NYC Liederkranz competition. |
